After Lopez Law Group begins work on your case, it is important that you maintain contact with us and keep us informed of any information that might affect our ability to communicate with you. We request that you inform us of any new addresses and telephone numbers, as well as other important information that will facilitate communication about the status of your case.

Communication Policy

We encourage open communication with clients to ensure successful case outcomes. As your case progresses, we will communicate with you by e-mail, telephone, and in person whenever we require additional information from you, when we submit materials to government agencies or courts, or when we have information to share regarding the progress of your case. At Lopez Law Group, our commitment to client communication requires that we:

  • Inform clients promptly of any case developments, including notices from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or any other government agency;
  • Provide periodic case updates regarding your case’s progress to ensure that you understand the status of the case, including the approximate duration of case processing;
  • Meet with clients in person if a change of strategy is necessary or if a new approach to the case is warranted;
  • Ensure that all clients’ questions are answered thoroughly and that contact with our office is helpful and straightforward.

Confidentiality and Attorney-Client Privilege

Lopez Law Group upholds the confidentiality of all information disclosed by our clients and potential clients. Information is never released to outside parties unless the client has given us his or her written permission to do so. All information provided to Lopez Law Group, including personal data provided during the initial consultation, is confidential. Attorney Lopez and her paralegal staff strictly uphold the ethical code established by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
